The SAT is the nation's most widely used college admission test. It's what most colleges use to get to know you better. Some colleges use it to place you out of certain classes. It also connects you to scholarships and financial support. Many colleges use SAT scores as criteria when they are granting scholarships, or merit awards.

In order to sign up for the SAT you need to create a CollegeBoard account. If you click the link above you will be able to do so. You will need to remember the e-mail address and password you use for this account- WRITE IT DOWN IN A SAFE PLACE!

Bring: Photo ID, Calculator, Admissions Ticket, #2 Pencils
- No cell phones will be allowed in the testing room.
- No bags, IPods, headphones, etc will be allowed in the testing room.
The ACT® test, like the SAT, is a standardized test colleges use for admissions and scholarship purposes. UNLIKE the SAT, the ACT has a science component. The questions also tend to be more direct on the ACT.
The ACT® contains five curriculum- and standards-based assessments: English, Mathematics, Reading, Science, and an optional Writing Test.
The ACT Test will be not be administered at APW. However, students can take the test at a neighboring school district.
ACT offers no-cost and low-cost test prep options at www.actstudent.org/testprep.
The Preliminary SAT 10 is a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT®. It also gives you a chance to enter a national scholarship programs and gain access to an excellent custom SAT prep tool called My College QuickStart.
The PSAT 10 measures:
- Critical reading skills
- Math problem-solving skills
- Writing skills
When do you take the PSAT 10?
We offer the PSAT in the spring during the school day. Typically students take the exam during their sophomore year.
