Director of Instructional Technology, Evaluation and Discipline

Jim Heffron
Director of Instructional Technology, Evaluation and Discipline
p: (315) 625-5260

I'm Jim Heffron, and I'm proud to be Director of Instructional Technology, Evaluation and Discipline of Altmar Parish Williamstown Jr/Sr High School.  Since joining the District in 2008, I have had the privilege to work with students, staff and parents for every grade level, PK-12, and I have found each experience to be very rewarding and an excellent learning opportunity.  As the Director of Instructional Technology, Evaluation and Discipline, I look forward to continuing to work with students and staff as they begin (or continue along) their journey towards graduation, as well as working to support the efforts of the students and staff in whatever way I can.

There are a great many things that contribute to the success of a child.  I am here to help make sure that all students take advantage of their opportunities to succeed, that teachers and staff have what they need to provide our students with the best possible education and opportunities to reach their greatest potential, and that the communication and partnership between the school and home help facilitate those efforts.

As with all things, whether you are a student or parent, you will find that your experience here at APW depends on you personally.  The old adage "you get out what you put in" couldn't be more true.  There are many opportunities to become involved in school, whether as a member of a club or sport, band or chorus, attending dances, or as a participant/volunteer with the Student Government.  The more you contribute and participate while here, the more memories you will make, the more experiences you will share, and the more opportunities you will explore.

Life is about being an active participant and chasing dreams.  There are very few things in life worth having that do not require us to go out and get them.  It is important that our students work hard to prepare themselves to chase their dreams, even the ones they don't even know they have yet.

If you ever have a concern or question, please feel free to stop by and see me.  My door is always open.  While an appointment isn't necessary, it is advisable in order to make sure that I am not out of the office or building with a prior commitment.

As always, I'm proud to be a Rebel!
