Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District’s weight room is free and open to the APW community and staff, Monday through Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Visitors may enter through the athletic entrance on the side of the building, walk down the hall and sign in at the weight room to the right.
The state-of-the-art fitness center includes a treadmill, elliptical machine, two computer monitor/stationary bikes with virtual courses and a large selection of free weights as well as an excellent stereo system and locker rooms to change and shower.
“In our first year, we have had over 75 different community members join our public weight room,” said Jamie Coppola, Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics. “Now that the word is spreading, we anticipate many more to join this year.”
Altmar-Parish-Williamstown 2014 graduate Baron Correll utilizes the weights in the district’s
state-of-the-art fitness center. The facility is open to APW community and staff Monday
through Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. during the school year.
