APW Board names new junior/senior high school principal

The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Board of Education approved the appointment of Joseph T. Olsen as APW Junior/Senior High School Principal. Olsen will replace Michelle Crisafulli who resigned at the close of the school year to take an administrative position in another district.
Olsen has worked in education for more than 10 years. He began his career as a Business and Marketing Teacher at Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square and for the past two years has served at the Career and Technical Education Assistant Principal at the Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation.
“I was very interested in the position at APW, in part, because of the positive interactions I have had with APW students and staff through my position at CiTi,” he said. “The students and staff at APW have always demonstrated a high level of respect, passion, and enthusiasm for their school. When this opportunity presented itself, I was excited about the possibility of being a part of that team. I look forward to working with the APW students, staff, and community in my new role as Principal.”
Olsen grew up in Brewerton, NY where he graduated from Central Square Schools before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Daemon College, a Master’s Degree in Education from SUNY Oswego and a CAS in Educational Leadership from SUNY Cortland.
