APW Student Athletes Sign Letters of Intent
History was made on January 8th, as APW Jr/Sr High School held their first ever collegiate sports signing ceremony. Student athletes Katie Schick & Derek Rice officially signed letters of intent to play college sports after graduation. Katie will go on to play soccer at Roberts and Derek will go on to play baseball at D'Youville
Coaches spoke on behalf of both student athletes, speaking to their character and the qualities that make them not only great students and athletes, but great people.
These Rebels are making history as the first student athletes from APW to sign with colleges for athletic scholarships. This speaks to both the dedication of these student athletes and the growth and development of APW’s Athletic Department. Congratulations on this huge accomplishment, Katie & Derek! We can't wait to see how they both represent the Rebels beyond the halls of APW when they begin their college journeys.
