FBLA Hosts Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy Kickoff

Members of APW Jr/Sr High FBLA returned from winter break ready to make an impact in their community and grow as leaders. These student leaders, along with Business Advisor/FBLA Leader Amy DeJohn, hosted the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy kick-off event with the owners of Cicero’s Chick-fil-A location.
The Chick-fil-A Leader Academy is a student leadership program for middle and high school students that focuses on building character, confidence and leadership skills through service. As a part of the academy, students will be participating in leadership labs, hosting a book giveaway at the elementary school and hosting a community event at the end of the school year. Throughout the academy, students will receive mentorship and support from their local Cicero Chick-fil-A restaurant and it’s team members. While many schools apply for this program, each location chooses which schools it will sponsor.
APW would like to express gratitude to Chick-fil-A for selecting our school for this program. We're eager to see the impact and connections our Rebels are able to make, along with the knowledge and experiences they will gain.
