APW varsity volleyball advances to sectional semifinals following standout season

The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown varsity girls volleyball team is headed to the Section III semifinals following a victory over Cato-Meridian in the sectional quarterfinals, continuing an impressive season for the Rebels.

Under the leadership of head coach Shaun Carter, APW finished its regular-season divisional schedule with a perfect 10-0 record, capturing the Onondaga High School League (OHSL) Division 4 championship. The Rebels also earned runner-up honors in their bracket at the OHSL tournament, adding to a strong list of accomplishments this fall.

Carter was also recognized for his leadership, earning OHSL Division 4 Volleyball Coach of the Year honors. The recognition highlights his work guiding a team that has enjoyed success throughout the regular season and into sectional competition.

The Rebels will look to continue their postseason run Wednesday, Nov. 4, when they travel to Bishop Ludden for a 5 p.m. sectional semifinal matchup.

Tickets for the game can be purchased online at the Section III ticketing website.

Congratulations to Coach Carter and the entire varsity volleyball team on an outstanding season so far, and best of luck in the semifinals!
