Dear APW Families and Community,

Thank you for your patience as you waited for the results of yesterday’s vote and election. While we typically post these tallies first thing in the morning, yesterday’s vote brought an unprecedented three-way write-in tie for one of our school board seats. We took extra time this morning to confirm the proper next steps. I am pleased to announce the results of the 2026-2027 budget vote and election.

Proposition 1 - Budget
Shall the proposed budget of $40,009,764 for the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District as recommended by the Board of Education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, be adopted and shall the Board of Education be authorized to levy the necessary taxes therefore? 
Yes votes – 115
No votes – 47

Proposition 2 – Bus Purchase 
Shall the Board of Education purchase and, at the option of the Board, finance two (2) Microbird Gasoline School Buses at an estimated cost not to exceed $215,119.00, one (1) Diesel School Bus at an estimated cost not to exceed $206,315.00, and one (1) Wheelchair Diesel School Bus at an estimated cost not to exceed $184,538.00, including necessary furnishings, fixtures and equipment and all other necessary costs incidental thereto and to expend a total sum not to exceed $606,000.00 which is estimated to be the total maximum cost thereof, and pay for such vehicles by using the approximate balance of $606,000.00 from the Capital Reserve Fund for Vehicles approved by the District voters on May 17, 2022?

  • Mary Gracey: verbally disclosed intent to decline in writing
  • Ernie Peters: disclosed intent to serve
